"Gleden" 91 dB @ 1 W
The "Gleden" is a sensitive speaker, which is designed to be used with tube amps and small amplifiers in range of 5-20 W. It is an easy to drive construction and also relatively easy to build.
The speaker builds upon the famous Peerless HDS 810921 dome (now produced by Scan Speak, under D2608-91300 name) and an older sensitive Vifa M17WH-09-08 driver, a classic midwoofer representing the old loudspeaker school. So this speaker takes one new and an older driver into one excellent and simplistic construction. The result is a well balanced speaker with low order crossovers, smooth midrange and exceptional reproduction.

Technical description: The tweeter is the sensitive Peerless HDS dome having very low harmonic distortion in the whole spectrum. Its slightly rising response in the top end opens for good unidirectional performance. The midwoofer is the Vifa M17WH-09-08 classic driver, similar to the WG version, it's commonly known brother. The WH version has a larger magnet and is well suited to use in smaller enclosures. The M17WH-09-08 has 91 dB @ 1W sensitivity and it has enough baffle step compensation to sound acceptable in average (16-20 m2) rooms. Even if the enclosure is placed in distance to the wall, it produces enough sound presure at 50-60 Hz to reproduce bass tones correctly, with effortless presentation.
The enclosure and the crossover:
The speaker is a bassreflex construction, with 17 litre volume. Dimensions are: 24 x 36 x 30 cm. The port is tuned to 57 Hz and it is recommended to use approx. 110 g damping material, placed mainly on the sidewalls. The crossover of the speaker is really simplistic: in front of the dome there is a first order network and the the woofer section is connected to the amplifier without any crossover components. The woofers natural response roll-off provides the crossover functionality.
Placement: The speaker is mostly easy to place. While it is recommended to be placed in some distance from the wall, it can be also used in near wall placement scenarios. The high sensitivity of the speaker recommends some experimentation to find the ideal placement.

Our company sells this speaker also in a loudspeaker Kit form, without cabinets.
The Kit contains full description, crossover components, terminals, damping material and the four drivers.
Warranty statement: Our company gives two years warranty for all of the products. Special rules may apply, if the damage is caused by incorrect treatment on the loudspeaker membranes or cabinets, where the warranty can not be automatically enforced.
